This includes photobioreactors engineering, microalgae cultures, anaerobic fermentative processes and biohydrogen production. Special emphasis has been driven on light energy transfer modeling (radiative transfer) and optical properties determination of dense absorbing liquid media. These subjects are linked to bioenergy production and they are presently in rapid extension, being supported by several national research programs.
